Mosaic Dances

Mosaic Dances gets its title from its construction from small, interlocking motives, like tiles in a mosaic, and from its rhythmically playful character. Throughout the work, melodic material and intervallic cells which are presented at the outset undergo a journey of development and character transformation before being brought to a climax and resolution. Mosaic Dances was first performed at the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta, on February 26, 2013 by Ensemble Paramirabo.

Duration: ca. 8 minutes
